The report on products, packaging and waste management (colloquially speaking: the waste report) is annual report submitted by the entrepreneur to the office marshal  appropriate for the place of business. It contains a range of information on waste records in the enterprise.

In accordance with the applicable law, the waste report is submitted for the previous year using electronically – using an account in the database BDO. Selected entrepreneurs have until March 15 to complete the formalities. If the entrepreneur decides to cease operating, he has 7 days from the date of its completion to submit the report.

Who has to submit the annual report on products, packaging and waste management?

The catalog of entities that are required to submit an annual report on products, packaging and waste management is specified in article 73. and 74a of the Act of December 14 on waste. These include, among others:

  • producers, importers and intra-Community buyers of packaging made of paper, cardboard, plastics, glass and wood, who are listed in the Act of 13 June 2013 on packaging and packaging waste management,
  • enterprises that place packaged products on the market and export and make intra-community supply of packaged products, e.g. bakeries, beverage manufacturers, cosmetics manufacturers and glassworks,
  • entities running shops or wholesalers in which buyers pack their purchases in plastic bags covered by the recycling fee,
  • producers and importers of tyres, oils and lubricants or goods containing them,
  • vehicle manufacturers and used cars,
  • entities that place electrical and electronic equipment on the market,
  • recovery organizations, e.g. packaging and electronic equipment.
